Marlborough-based computer software company Bitstream reported a more-than 75 percent drop in quarterly profits for late last year.
Revenues decreased slightly in the fourth quarter of 2009 while expenses increased. It ended the quarter with a $167,000 profit on $5.5 million in revenue. That is down from a $709,000 profit during the fourth quarter of 2008 on $5.6 million in revenue.
Year-end profits also fell for the company from $2.3 million in 2008 to $852,000 last year.
The company makes computer software for graphic art and mobile communications programs.
