Ceres Bistro, part of a $9 million expansion project at the Beechwood hotel off Plantation Street in Worcester, is ready to open to the public next week.
Physician Charles Birbara and his wife Janet, the hotel’s owners, have scheduled a ribbon cutting at the new restaurant for 2 p.m. today. The restaurant will host private events this week and will open to the public June 28.
The restaurant can seat 300, and includes a private dining room and an executive board room. It is being operated and managed by Niche Hospitality Group, the owner operator of several other Worcester restaurants.
The restaurant is expected to create about 70 jobs.
