BirchTree Bread Co. will close for two weeks beginning Monday, the Green Street restaurant in Worcester announced in a Facebook post on Thursday, pointing to concerns about the projected peak period for coronavirus spread in the region.
BirchTree will remain open through Saturday. After the closure, which will run April 13 to April 28, the bakery will reopen for curbside pickup, per the announcement.
While closed, BirchTree’s small team will rest and recharge the company said.
The company owners, Avra Hoffman and Robert Fecteau, urged customers to come and purchase pizza, bread and lattes before they temporarily shut their doors.
