MetroWest Chamber of Commerce President Bonnie Biocchi has accepted a new position at Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester and will step down from her role at the chamber in August, the MetroWest Chamber said Tuesday.
Biocchi joined the chamber’s executive leadership in 2010 and has “worked to transform the chamber into a modern powerhouse of advocacy and connectivity for the regional business community,” according to a statement from the chamber.
“Bonnie has left an indelible mark on the chamber, including the cultivation of (events such as) the Taste of MetroWest, the College Initiative and participating on the Economic Development Planning Council for the Commonwealth. We are so happy for Bonnie and wish her the best in her next endeavor,” Lemonia Mironidis, chair of the Board for the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, said in a release.
Biocchi will be the senior director of business development at Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester, the chamber said.
“I have truly enjoyed my five years with the Chamber and am leaving it in great hands. The board and membership is strong and committed to the community,” Biocchi said in a release.
