Bio-Techne completes 27K-sq.-ft. Devens expansion

Bio-Techne underwent a 27,000-square-foot expansion in Devens.
Maugel Architects of Harvard has completed a 27,000-square-foot single-story addition to Bio-Techne’s life science facility in Devens, Maugel announced on Monday.
Bio-Techne, a biotechnology company specializing in tools for life science research, therapeutic manufacturing and clinical diagnostics, is headquartered in Minneapolis.
The new addition in Devens will provide the company with additional laboratory, manufacturing and warehouse space, according to Maugel.
Notably, because Devens previously functioned as a military base, the project’s team had to undergo unexploded ordnance training. No unexploded ordinances were found during construction, according to Maugel.
