Behavioral Healthcare Services to move into new Worcester office building

Behavioral Healthcare Services will move from its longtime home off Park Avenue in Worcester to a new four-story office building on Shrewsbury Street.
The move will be effective Feb. 12, according to the office, which says it has an estimated 28,000 patients.
The owner of Behavioral Healthcare Services, Amjad Bahnassi, has built the 20,000-square-foot building at 435 Shrewsbury St. with plans to occupy half of the building and lease the remainder.
Bahnassi, a native of Syria, started the mental health service provider more than 25 years ago and has grown it into a firm with eight clinicians and 12 support staff. The offices have been located in two converted residential buildings at 202 Russell St.
The new building, estimated to cost upwards of $5 million, will allow Behavioral Healthcare Services to double its space.
