Becker College has launched an online undergraduate business degree program that will give credit for work and life experience, the Worcester school announced.
The bachelor of science in business administration (BSBA), with a concentration in management joins other online offerings from Becker, but incorporates a portfolio component that allows students to emphasize prior work and life experience, according to a statement from the school. Students can earn up to 48 credits through the portfolio process, which is developed with the support of an advisor.
“Today’s competitive business environment requires both academic credentials and high level of competence,” Colleen Bielitz, dean for the Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies, said in a statement. “This online degree program deepens technical expertise and strengthens the competencies that are in demand in today’s globally connected business markets.”
The program "is just another instance in which we are increasing the value proposition of a Becker College education," Becker President Robert E. Johnson added. “The flexibility of online learning allows students the option to pursue this degree anytime, anyplace.”
