Worcester’s Becker College has been ranked the No. 2 undergraduate school in the world for game design by Princeton Review, moving up from last year’s No. 3 position.
The latest survey by the Princeton Review was released Wednesday and placed Becker College second, behind the University of Southern California in Los Angeles that has held the place for the last three years. The ranking is the result of a survey by the Princeton Review with more than 40 data points being taken into account in the areas of academics, faculty, technology, and career prospects.
“Much of the success of our game program is due to Becker’s unique merging of the creative, the technical, and the business side of interactive media,” said Paul Cotnoir, director of design programs at Becker.
In addition to its strong ranking for undergraduate game design, the school’s master of fine arts in interactive media degree was ranked 10th in the world in the Princeton Review of the top schools for graduate game design.
