Bay State Savings Promotes Four

Bay State Savings Bank of Worcester has promoted Diane Giampa, Cheri E. Carty, Rosa M. Hernandez and Thomas J. Belton.

Giampa was named senior vice president of human resources and marketing. She has worked for the bank since 1997.

Before that, she held human resources positions at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center for Mental Retardation and the Herbert Lipton Community Mental Health Center. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton. She lives in Millbury and is involved in many local nonprofits.

Carty is the bank’s new assistant vice president of the treasury. She started work at Bay State in 1992 and worked for Fleet Bank before that. She has a bachelor’s degree from Nichols College in Dudley as and is a graduate of the New England School of Financial Studies at Babson College in Wellesley. She lives in Brookfield and is part of several local organizations.

Hernandez was promoted to Bank Secrecy Act officer and branch operations specialist. She has worked for the bank since 2003 and, before that, she was a branch supervisor at Banknorth (now TD Bank) in Worcester. She lives in Worcester.

Belton was promoted to vice president of information technology. He started work with the bank in 2001. He has a certification from the Clark University Computer Career Institute in Framingham. He lives in Spencer.
