Barnes signs parts deal with GE

Bristol-based Barnes Group Inc. said its aerospace unit has signed a revenue sharing agreement with General Electric Co. to be the sole supplier of aftermarket parts for three families of GE airplane engines. Financial details were undisclosed. The agreement covers the CFM56 engine, used on at least 12 aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320, the CF6 turbofan engines, found on wide-body planes such as the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A330, and the GE90, found on newer versions of the Boeing 777.
