Bristol-based Barnes Group Inc. reported nearly 50 percent net income growth to $27.7 million in the third quarter, from $18.9 million at the same time last year. The aerospace and industrial components manufacturer also reported a 12 percent increase in net sales, to $360.4 million from $322 million in Q3 last year. The company cited a strong aerospace aftermarket business and a manufacturing backlog for its strong performance.
