Bristol-based Barnes Group Inc. saw second quarter increases in sales and income this year. Net income at the company rose to $28.4 million, 58 percent over the $18 million it earned at the same time last year. Barnes also experienced a 16 percent increase in net sales to $360 million in Q2, above $309 million in 2006. The company cites a 25 percent jump in aerospace sales to $92.4 million in the second quarter for its boost.
