The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $3,300 to Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Southern New England.
Consumer Credit Counseling offers financial counseling and education to low- to moderate-income people. The bank said the donation was prompted by a high number of requests for such services.
The bank also said services like those offered by Consumer Credit Counseling could help prevent foreclosures and bankruptcies.
The foundation was established in 1998 and has donated more than $1.5 million locally since then.
