In a move sure to bring groans from legions of 12-year-olds, Framingham based office supplies giant Staples Inc. has announced that July 14 is the “official” start of the 2010 back-to-school shopping season.
In honor of the day–which comes less than a month after many students’ last day of school–Staples will ring the Nasdaq opening bell, sounding the “first bell” of the school shopping season.
The company has also set up a website dedicated to back-to-school news.
