The U.S. Army has placed a $7 million follow-on order with Rocky Hill-based Axsys Technologies Inc. to build additional infrared lenses under a military program called Thermal Weapon Sight II. It’s the fourth major cash release for the company under a two-year-old military contract that has brought in about $25 million for the precision optics maker.
