Two companies both relatively new to Framingham are now partnering — to make beer.
Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Co. and Avidia Bank are collaborating on the drink — named Demo Tape Nineteen: Liquid Tender — after staffs from the two companies kept running into one another over the past year at local events.
The brewery and bank will donate $2 from every four pack of beer sold to the Rise Above Foundation, which serves foster children in the MetroWest area.
Both companies are relatively new to the area. Exhibit ‘A’, in Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers’ old spot, opened two years ago, while Avidia Bank opened its Framingham location last September.
Earlier this month, staff from Avidia Bank helped create the beer at the brewery, including input on its taste, appearance, distribution and marketing.
Kelsey Roth, Exhibit ‘A’’s general manager, said the collaboration is about more than just beer.
“It’s about creating connections where the sum is greater than the individual parts, and that’s what has happened with Avidia,” he said. “The Avidia team has been a blast to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better collaboration partner.”
The beer will be made available starting July 21 at the brewery’s Demo Tape Fest, which highlights project beers and local music.
