Worcester-based autism services provider Behavioral Concepts Inc. (BCI) will celebrate the opening of its new Fitchburg location with an open house and ribbon cutting on Jan. 17.
Located at 207 Authority Drive near the Wachusett Station of the MBTA Commuter Rail just off Route 2, the facility will serve children with autism and their families living in North Central Massachusetts.
BCI provides a variety of services using Applied Behavioral Analysis, including help with activities of daily living, communication, academics, community outings and safety awareness.
“Before opening this location, we were only able to work with clients in their homes,” said Colleen Canty, director of BCI’s Fitchburg location, in a statement on Tuesday. “With this office in place, we have the ability to offer the services we have in Worcester to children in Fitchburg and surrounding communities in North Central Massachusetts.”
The open house will feature facility tours and a ribbon cutting ceremony, and is open to the public. The event begins at 4 p.m.
