ICS, a New York-based technology services and cybersecurity firm with a large office in Auburn, has rebranded its services under the names TechMD for its managed technology services division and 1nteger Security for its cybersecurity division.
ICS will remain the name of the corporate entity, but that name will no longer be used in marketing, according to a Wednesday press release from the IT firm.
Prior to the rebranding, the firm acquired AKUITY Technologies of Auburn in 2021, Cards Technology in Maryland in 2022, and California-based TechMD in 2023.
ICS is the top IT service provider in Central Massachusetts, when ranked by local employees, according to data provided by the region’s IT companies to the WBJ Research Department. The company employs 62 people in Central Massachusetts and 275 nationally.
The Endicott, New York-based company was founded in 1987 and purchased by Kevin Blake and Travis Hayes in 2005. In 2020, California venture capital firm ClearLight Partners invested in ICS, although terms of that deal were not revealed.
