Atlas Travel Increases Sales, Hires Execs

Atlas Travel International of Milford said its transactions in 2009 were up 15 percent over the prior year and that it's hired two new executives.
Atlas "continues to seek opportunities even when external economic conditions appear to contradict such a strategy. It's a good time to seek opportunities rather than cutting things to the bone," the company said.
The increase in sales has prompted the firm to hire Madia Sargent, who will serve as Billerica-based Millipore Corp.'s travel, meetings and fleet manager. Sargent is the first employee Atlas has hired specifically to serve an individual client.
The company has also hired Kim Castro as director of technology and automation.
