Assumption adding online cybersecurity program

Assumption College is expanding its online education offerings by adding its cybersecurity bachelor's degree to the program.
Assumption's cybersecurity degree is one of three in Massachusetts whose curriculum aligns with the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security’s Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense program, according to the Worcester school.
The program began in the fall 2019 semester as part of Assumption's broadening academic offerings, which includes new degrees in the past few years in nursing, neuroscience and data analytics. A finance major is starting this fall.
The cybersecurity degree can now be earned either on campus or online through the Continuing & Career Education program. The program, which aims at those already working in a career, has been part of Assumption's offerings for more than four decades. Each of its courses have been converted to online offerings.
