Northborough materials technology company Aspen Aerogels appointed 25-year human-resources veteran Stephanie Pittman as its chief human resources officer, effective Tuesday.
Pittman’s predecessor, senior vice president of human resources Kelley Conte will retire on Tuesday after eight years with the company, according to a Tuesday press release from Aspen Aerogels.
“As I step into retirement, I have full confidence in the capable hands of our executive and HR teams, and I am committed to providing a smooth transition for Ms. Pittman to step into the role of Chief Human Resources Officer,” Conte said in the press release. “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Don (Aspen Aerogels president & CEO Donald Young), the board, and the entire Aspen family for their unwavering support and camaraderie. It's been an incredible journey, and I will cherish the memories and relationships I've built here."
Pittman previously served as executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Waltham. Prior to that she served for 12 years in human resources executive positions at Marlborough-based Boston Scientific.
"I am honored and excited to be joining the Aspen team as its Chief Human Resources Officer as the company embarks on its next phase,” Pittman said in the press release. “Aspen's commitment to fostering a culture that values inclusion, collaboration and innovation provides a strong framework for our future success, and I look forward to working with the talented team at Aspen to continue building on this foundation.”
