Aspen Aerogels, a Northborough battery technology company serving the electric vehicle and electric infrastructure industries, tapped Santhosh Daniel for its newly-created chief accounting officer position.
Daniel will report to Aspen CFO and Treasurer Ricardo Rodriguez and will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and auditing functions, according to a Thursday press release from Aspen Aerogels.
A veteran of technology firms, Daniel last served for a year as vice president and controller of Symbotic, a Wilmington firm specializing in automated warehouse operations. Prior to that, he served nearly a year at NWN Carousel, a Rhode Island-based cloud computing company.
Aspen Aerogels didn’t respond for comment on who Daniel is replacing as chief accounting officer or if it is a new position.
This is the second recent C-suite change for Aspen. Earlier in September, Aspen hired Chief Human Resources Officer Stephanie Pittman to replace Kelley Conte, who retired after eight years with the company.
Aspen Aerogels is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and reported revenues of more than $180 million in 2022.
