Swissturn/USA, an Oxford-based Swiss screw machine manufacturer, has appointed Rick Laviolette as its new president.
Laviolette has 25 years of experience working in manufacturing with experience in both operations and business development, according to a press release distributed Tuesday.
Previously, Laviolette’s positions include: vice president of ASC Solutions of California, president and CEO of Resolute Composite Technologies of Rhode Island, and executive vice president business development and owner, Pixley Richards of Plymouth
Former Swissturn/USA president Ken Mandile will continue with the company as CEO and chairman of the board. Mandile said he stepped down as president in order to travel more and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Mandile said he has been with Swissturn/USA since he was 10 years old and decades later is proud of what he has accomplished, but happy the company will receive the strategic management it needs under Laviolette.
"The company is ready for a different kind of leadership," Mandile said.
