Ernst & Young LLP, a worldwide consulting firm, has selected several Central Massachusetts executives as finalists for its 2011 New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
Local finalists for the award are: George Sakellaris, president and CEO of Framingham-based Ameresco Inc.; Douglas Godshall, CEO of Framingham-based HeartWare International Inc.; and Chris Sandusky and James Banks, principal and president, respectively, of Devens-based Integrated Process Technologies Inc. (Sandusky and Banks were honored by the Worcester Business Journal with its 2009 Entrepreneurs of the Year Award.)
Finalists are selected by an independent panel made up of previous award winners and private capital investors, according to Ernst & Young.
This is the 25th year the firm has given the awards to entrepreneurs who have demonstrated "excellence and extraordinary success" in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
The regional award winners will be announced on June 15 in Boston.
