A local franchise of the national ARCpoint Labs, based in Southborough, which provides pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, background screening, and more, held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday for a new location in Worcester.
Gauri Bhalakia, president of both ARCpoint Labs of Southboro-Framingham and ARCpoint Labs of Worcester, started the business in 2016. The company was named the 2022 Minority Owned Small Business of the Year for Massachusetts by the U.S. Small Business Administration earlier this year. Over the last six years, business has increased significantly, with Bhalakia reporting a 112% increase in revenue in that time, according to an April press release from the SBA.
The Worcester location, at 324 Grove St., opened in March.
“Our mission is to work with local businesses and customers, and through our services create a safe and healthy workplace and community,” Bhalakia told WBJ in an email.
Other services the franchise provides includes COVID-19 testing, wellness, credentialing, and occupational health services.
