Aquarion Water Company, the privately-owned utility servicing Oxford and Millbury and a subsidiary of utility company Eversource, has announced a change in leadership for its Central Massachusetts operations.
Francis King, the manager of operations for Millbury and Oxford for 34 years, retired effective July 1. Taking his place is Paul Lawson, formerly a foreman with the company.
In the new role, Lawson is responsible for managing operations, maintenance, infrastructure projects, water supply sources, pumping stations and treatment facilities for the water systems in both towns.
He will report to Stephen Olson, the company’s director of operations for Massachusetts water systems.
Lawson began his career with the company in 1997 as a laborer with the Massachusetts American Water Co. before it was acquired by Aquarion in 2002.
