Marlborough manufacturer API Technologies has changed its leadership, appointing a new CEO from its parent company advisory council.
Terrence Hahn, a member of AEA Investors’ Senior Advisory Council, will assume the role of CEO immediately. He’s served on the council for two years.
API was acquired by AEA Investors, a private investment firm based in New York, in May 2019.
According to a news release, from API, Hahn has held executive leadership roles at a variety of industrial firms and manufacturers, including Air Products & Chemicals, Honeywell, Transportation Systems and most recently CEO of Axalta Coating Systems.
“This is a great time to be joining API Technologies, and I am honored to lead the company into its next stage of success," said Hahn. "I am very excited to be joining a business with a strong reputation in its end markets and look forward to working with the API team."
Hahn replaces former CEO Bob Tavares, who announced his departure simultaneous to his successor being named.
The company credited Tavares with transforming API into a leading global partner in the high-performance RF market.
He will remain an advisor of the company, API said.
