Anna Maria College has signed a five-year partnership with an art school in Paris, France to allow students of the Paxton school to study in Europe.
Anna Maria announced the partnership Monday, saying it will also allow bachelor's degree students in fine arts at the Paris College of Art to complete a degree in art therapy in Paxton starting with their junior year.
Over a third of Anna Maria’s students express interest in study abroad opportunities, according to the school. Anna Maria students have studied in more than 18 countries across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Anna Maria also offers faculty-led spring break and summer trips, with study abroad programs open to students in all majors and programs.
Anna Maria College is expecting its first Paris College of Art students on campus in two years. The art therapy program's curriculum includes art, psychology and human services, preparing students for what Anna Maria says is a growing career field helping those with illnesses, addictions and other challenges.
