Anna Maria makes musical donation to UMass Memorial
Anna Maria College celebrated the holiday season by donating a collection of musical instruments to UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center in Worcester, to help sick children and their families, according to UMass Memorial.
A group of students from the Paxton college donated the instruments after performing a live concert for patients on Thursday, in order to “further the cause of musical therapy and its role in helping patients heal,” the statement said.
“We understand how difficult it is for families to deal with having a child who is hospitalized. I hope these instruments will have a lasting impact and bring relief to as many people as possible,” said Kay Zimmerman, an Anna Maria spokeswoman.
