Anna Maria College has launched a new online master of business administration program with specializations in health informatics and sports management, along with a general MBA track, the Paxton-based college announced this week.
The degree combines an MBA education with two highly specialized concentrations that address immediate and growing needs within business management circles, the school said.
“Sound business decision-making is essential in today’s health care marketplace,” Program Director Elzbieta Manos said of the health informatics concentration. “And the keys to success are in the analysis of the digital data now at a provider’s fingertips.”
Sports management, meanwhile, is an emerging industry that also requires effective management skills, the school said. “The industry is calling out for business-minded professionals who can manage the many off-the-field details that turn sports into big business,” said Lloyd L. Hamm Jr., dean of Anna Maria’s School of Business.
