Anna Maria Gets Bridge Program Grant

Anna Maria College of Paxton has received a $75,000 grant from the Esther’s Dream Foundation of Lachine, Quebec to support a summer program for incoming freshmen.

The one-week bridge program will offer students an intensive college writing seminar and classes on college success and life skills at the end of July. It will also give parents who did not go to college themselves a chance to spend two days at the school with their children.

Anna Maria already offers a more limited two-week program for minority, at-risk students who say they need help making the transition to college.

The Esther’s Dream Foundation was created by the Sisters of St. Anne to support the work of the order’s members.
