Andover firm buys UMass Memorial building for $5.4M

A 17,000-square-foot medical office building overlooking I-290 just east of downtown Worcester has sold for just over $5.4 million.

The three-story building, called the Eastern Medical Center and marked with a big “21” on the top of its facade, was bought by Sood Realty Trust of Andover. The seller was Eastern Property Trust of Berlin.

The sale closed July 13.

The building, which was built in 2006, is on a 1.5-acre site and was last assessed by the City of Worcester at just under $2.1 million. Its tenants include UMass Memorial Health Care.
