Devens-based American Superconductor Corp. has received an order for more than $18 million in wind turbine parts from Beijing-based Sinovel Wind Corp. Ltd.
American Superconductor will deliver wind turbine electrical systems and core electrical components to the Chinese company over the next 15 months. The products will be used in 3-megawatt wind turbines.
The Devens-based company already provided components for 1.5 megawatt turbines that Sinovel has been manufacturing since 2005.
