Maryland-based private equity fund American Capital Strategies Ltd. has opened an office in Framingham as part of an effort to expand its technology investment activities on the east coast, the company said.
The company’s Framingham office, part of the American Capital Technology Group, will be led by Miles Arnone, who will act as managing director of the office. Patrick Gallagher, a 14-year veteran of the company, will join Arnone as principal of the technology group.
American Capital Strategies is the largest publicly traded private equity fund in the country, the company said. The group currently has $2.8 billion in technology investments. The American Capital Technology Group employs 10 in its Framingham and Palo Alto, Calif., offices.
