Worcester security firm American Alarm and Communications completed its acquisition of Eaglestar Security Inc., based in Sutton.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Sutton security firm provided security, access control, video and fire alarm services for 950 homes and businesses, primarily in Central Massachusetts.
Eaglestar was launched in 1985 by Christopher Yacino. Over more than three decades he built a security systems business based on what he calls the fundamentals of honesty, technical competency and customer service.
Yacino and all of Eaglestar’s employees will remain with the company and have joined the team at American Alarm’s full-service Central Massachusetts branch located in Auburn.
The 24/7 security system monitoring of former Eaglestar customer locations has been transferred to American Alarm’s company-owned and operated monitoring station in Arlington.
Founded in 1971 by three engineers who met at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, American Alarm is a family-owned business now led by the second generation of the Sampson family. The company offers security systems integration and monitoring firm providing intrusion, fire, access control, video surveillance, environmental hazards and other related systems and services.
