Framingham renewable energy company Ameresco has secured an 18-year contract with a New York school district to improve the district’s energy efficiency.
The contract will see Ameresco make upgrades across seven facilities in the Nyack Public School District. These upgrades, which include solar arrays as well as improving building envelopment and kitchen walk-in cooler efficiency, are expected to bring savings of $187,418 to the district in the first year, according to Ameresco.
Ameresco will make a $3.5-million investment in the upgrades. The terms of the contract were not revealed by the company.
