Framingham’s Ameresco boasted revenue growth, returning to profitability in the first quarter of 2016, the company said in an announcement Thursday.
The energy efficiency and renewable energy company posted revenues of $133.8 million in the first quarter for a year-over-year increase of 16 percent. The growth happened across a number of Ameresco’s areas of coverage. The federal segment alone grew by 60 percent. Project revenues were $85.1 million, representing an increase of 24 percent year-over-year.
Operating income for the quarter was $1.8 million, compared to a loss of $4.4 million a year ago for the company founded in 2000.
