Framingham energy firm Ameresco continued its push towards a growth year with a new $76-million project with the United States Postal Service for work in Manhattan.
Ameresco’s Federal Solutions group has been selected to complete the tenant finish work for the upcoming USPS space to occupy approximately 275,000 square feet in the James A. Farley building in New York City.
This tenant finish contract represents Ameresco’s third project award with the USPS in 2019. Previously, the agency selected Ameresco to complete an infrastructure project in Hawaii and awarded Ameresco a contract to install new solar panel systems at multiple sites around the country.
The new contract is part of the company’s push for 2019 to be a growth year. In the company’s recent third quarter financial report, the company reported awards during the quarter reaching a record high of $343 million, up 72% year over year.
