Framingham energy efficiency company Ameresco Inc. reported record revenues and profits in 2010, but its fourth quarter profits fell from last year.
The company brought in $618.2 million for the year, up 44 percent from 2009. Profits also rose 44 percent to $28.7 million.
For the fourth quarter, Ameresco’s revenues also rose 35 percent from the same period in 2009, to $179.3 million, but its profits fell 20 percent. The company attributed the decline in profits to a higher effective tax rate and increased interest expense.
