Energy efficiency company Ameresco, headquartered in Framingham, has partnered with Wells Fargo to develop and install  approximately 30 megawatts of new solar generation at corporate and retail locations in seven states.

The nearly 100 solar arrays will be a combination of rooftop and ground systems in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Iowa, New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas, according to a joint release sent out Tuesday. The work will range in size from a 6-kilowatt rooftop array on a branch in Connecticut, to a 6.5-megawatt carport and rooftop system at Wells Fargo’s Chandler, Ariz. campus.

The effort is part of Wells Fargo’s long-term goal of moving to net-new renewable resources. The company has been using renewable energy to meet all of its electricity requirements since 2017, initially through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates.

Construction on the systems will begin in April and go into 2022. The financial terms of the agreement have not been released.
