Ameresco Inc., the Framingham-based power services company, has landed a $25 million contract to provide energy savings to the University of Kentucky.
The company will manage energy upgrades across the school’s 61 buildings and 5.2 million square feet of space.
Retrofits will be done to the school’s lighting, mechanical, water and boiler systems as part of the $25 million contract. Ameresco projects the school will save $2.4 million in annual energy costs.
Ameresco posted a 45 percent increase in revenues in the third quarter totaling $191 million. Profits increased from $8.2 million last year to $12 million this year.
