Ameresco Gets $56M N.C. State Deal

Framingham-based energy management company Ameresco has inked a $56 million contract to improve energy efficiency at North Carolina State University.

The thrust of the contract is to upgrade the school’s cogeneration equipment at two sites. The new system will produce 11 megawatts of electricity and steam generation.

The upgrades are expected to produce $6.5 million in annual energy savings for the school.
