Framingham-based energy efficiency and renewable energy company Ameresco Inc. announced the completion of upgrades to a central Michigan college.
Through a $1.2-million contract, Ameresco implemented infrastructure and energy saving measures at Montcalm Community College’s two campuses in Sidney Township, the company said. The new energy management system and equipment installed is estimated to save the college $129,000 annually over 10 years.
As part of the contract, Ameresco installed lighting and HVAC upgrades, an energy management system to increase control of energy consumption and vending machine controls and building enhancements to save on annual energy costs. It also provided energy efficiency training to MCC staff to help develop campus-wide energy standards.
