Clean energy company Ameresco, of Framingham, announced Tuesday it has completed a solar installation for the Bank of America corporate campus in Chandler, Ariz.
The campus now houses nearly 10,000 solar modules, which are expected to offset 60% of electricity demands annually.
The project began in November and was completed in August.
“In 2019, Bank of America reached carbon neutrality through efforts like this project,” said Mark O’Grady, real estate portfolio management executive at Bank of America, in a statement. “While it is a good start, we aim to be net zero before 2050.”
The project included arrays installed on building rooftops and covered carports, as well as electric vehicle charging stations, a solar-powered ATM, and solar benches to be used to charge electronics.
