Fallon Ambulance Service, based in Boston’s South Shore suburbs, is expanding west to a new location in Ashland after it was selected as the emergency medical services provider for MetroWest Medical Center, Fallon announced.
The 90-year-old, privately held company will move into a 7,500-square-foot location in Ledgemere Park, at 250 Eliot St. in Ashland, where it will garage six to eight vehicles. Fallon had reached a deal in December to lease the site.
The company said it has hired 30 new employees to assist with the expansion and named three additional supervisors for the region, which also includes a location in Waltham. A statement from Fallon said it expects about 6,000 annual transports from the expansion.
“We are very excited about our expanded presence in the Metro West area and look forward to working closely with the communities we serve.” Peter Racicot, a senior vice president at Fallon, said in a statement. “We look forward to meeting and welcoming our new friends and neighbors during (an) upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony.”
