Amazon plans to open an Amazon 4-star store in the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury, replacing a former Justice clothing store.
Work is underway at the site, and the Amazon website lists the location as coming soon. Neither an opening date nor hours have been released. The Millbury location will be the second Amazon 4-star branch in the state, including an outpost at the Natick Mall.
Amazon 4-star is a curated retail shop which sells merchandise rated four stars and above by Amazon customers, or which is otherwise a top seller, or new and trending on Amazon.com, according to the e-commerce giant’s website.
The stores are open to anyone, although Amazon Prime members will enjoy special discounts.
Earlier this year, Maine-based retailer L.L. Bean announced it would be opening a new outpost at the Shoppes, as well. That branch is slated to open later this year.
