Valdivia Logistics LLC, a shipping company based in Atlanta, has laid off 52 employees from its Milford facility, where it provided delivery services for online retailer Amazon, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act filing with the state.
Valdivia will no longer operate at 8 Industrial Road, per the filing, which is the same address as an Amazon warehouse in the town. The Milford closure was effective Oct. 16.
Jobs affected include one site leader, three dispatchers, 36 standard delivery associates, and 12 step van delivery associates, per the state filing.
News reports from North Carolina indicate that Valdivia laid off roughly 130 workers in Durham earlier in October.
Valdivia did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday. A jobs board on the Valdivia website returns a 404 error.
