In order to put more money into business development, Alseres Pharmaceuticals Inc. says it will consolidate its operations in one Hopkinton office once the last of its two existing leases expire.
The company said its new headquarters will be in about 16,000 square feet at 239 South St. in Hopkinton. Currently, the company is headquartered at 85 Main St. in Hopkinton. It moved there in 2005 from Boston, and also has offices at 444 Washington St. in Woburn. Those two facilities along with storage space the company also kept, totaled about 15,000 square feet, the company said.
The old Hopkinton and Woburn leases expired in July and this month.
Alseres has about 27 employees and will occupy 239 South St. on a three-year renewable lease beginning Aug. 25, the company said. The building is also home to Medtronic Inc.
Alseres is developing drugs and diagnostic products for central nervous system disorders. Last week, the company reported a $6.1 million net loss for the second quarter.
