Allstar Supply of Canton, Conn., and Sudbury, has expanded its packaging business presence with the purchase of the ESP Packaging Division from Eastern States Packaging of Stoughton, Allstar said Friday.
Tom Zotter, president of Allstar Supply, said in the statement that the deal offers the company both a growth opportunity and an expanded presence in the greater Boston market. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Eight years ago, Allstar Supply purchased The George Fuller Tape Company of Sudbury, and plans to move the ESP Packaging division into its existing facility in at 75 Union Ave. in Sudbury within three months. The statement also said that employees have been added to Allstar’s Canton location as a result of the acquisition.
Eastern States Packaging is a national supplier of packaging products, specializing in plastic bags. Allstar Supply is a distributor of poly bags as well as boxes, stretch wrap, shrink wrap, tapes, staples and other packaging products, the statement said.
