Northborough-based AllCare Plus Pharmacy has completed a $5 million, multi-year expansion project with a new 65,000-square-foot corporate headquarters.
That investment grew the company’s employee base to more than 235, but the company hopes to more than double that mark, according to an announcement of the project’s completion.
President and CEO Daniel Apelian called the pharmacy one of the strongest and most trusted specialty pharmacies in New England.
"Our patients face critical health conditions," he said. "As a result, it is essential that we hire great talent and provide them with cutting-edge technology to support these patients. The investments we've made in the future of AllCare Plus are truly an investment in doing what's best and right for our patients."
The specialty medication pharmacy and its new facility boasts uninterrupted service, enhanced technology platforms and redundancy of technologies to ensure seamless operation in the event of an emergency.
Technology investments include an integrated customer relationship management platform linked to an advanced patient management solution with a pharmacy operations system.
Also included are new manufacturer patient services technology systems and hardware and the ability to accommodate more than 200 seats for new personnel.
Chief Commercial Officer Mark Janian said a storm wiped out power across town for three days earlier this year, but the pharmacy remained fully operational.
"The new space also allows us to provide the best service more intelligently and more efficiently to our providers, manufacturers, and payors, and ultimately, deliver better care to patients,” he said.
